Rudi Johnson, Dolphin Bait?

by Bengals

Matt Miller, owner of New Era Scouting and operator of SB Nation’s draft blog, pops a digital cap into Rudi Johnson’s ass, ranking him as the league’s 32nd-best running back.

That strikes me as a bit harsh. Yes, Rudi had a poor season last year, gaining just 497 yards on 170 carries — a miserable 2.9-yard average — but he was also battling a hamstring injury for most of the season, and appeared in just 11 games (9 starts). In the previous three years, he had more than 4,200 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns, while missing zero games and just two starts. I’ve always thought Rudi a good, but not great, back — but thirty-second? C’mon!
