The first minicamp practice has wrapped and boy are the media pissed.
National media from ESPN.com, Yahoo Sports! and the NFL Network joined dozens of local media in Cincinnati to see what [Chad] Johnson would do or say next. It was an ideal setting for Johnson to showcase himself on and off the field, but he refused to participate in practice or do interviews.
Awwww, poor babies! No story for you!
Could Chad finally be figuring out that the media are not his friends? That even his alleged buddies won’t hesitate to ambush his ass to get ratings? If so, it’s been a long time coming, but it’s also a long time overdue. I doubt Chad’s silence holds in the long run — old habits die hard — but one can always hope.
