Thursday Reads: Battle for the Basement

What’s even more pathetic than an 0-3 team? Trash talk by a blogger for an 0-3 team. I hate to be the one to clue Chris in on this, but his team sucks like a black hole. And yes, so does mine — but at least they were supposed to, right? The Clowns, on the other hand, were supposed to be good. They were supposed to make the playoffs after going all Dan Snyder in the offseason, making it rain in free agency and trading away all their top draft picks for “name” veteran players.

Heckuva job, Brownies.

Moving on, in today’s Bengals news, there is a warrant out for DT Jason Shirley, who needs to hie his ass to California for the state’s second attempt to nail him for his drunken hit-and-run of a building.

It isn’t looking good for either Johnathan Joseph or Ben Utecht for Sunday.

Geoff Hobson thinks that Levi Jones is in danger of being benched if he doesn’t step it up a notch.

nevermind, it seems they wrote a post about it.

I wonder whether swapping Jones and Whit would work.  Levi seems slower now, so playing guard might extend his career.  Whit seems like he can play LT.  Problem solved.
