Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis named Ryan Fitzpatrick the starter at quarterback for the upcoming week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Carson Palmer is still in New York, getting a second opinion on his injured elbow.
In two starts this season (against Cleveland and the New York Jets) Fitzpatrick is 41 of 68 for 308 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. He also has 64 yards and a TD on 10 rushes. He has fumbled three times, losing two.
In semi-related news, the Bengals are apparently going to stand pat at 0-6.
