I guess I just don't think Fitzanze has made enough good decisions for a "smart" guy. Maybe if the O-line gave him any chance at all, and they have in spots, I'd have just that little glimmer of hope. He has kept them in games but also cost them with fumbles and bad management, which splits responsibility down the middle between bad O-line and him.

I am eager to see more of Benson. In this scheme, Brat has blown so many calls and has kept with Perry so it will take another serious blow (probably a fumble) to get Benson more snaps. Might as well get Watson some time as well and not carry Rowe on the active roster.

With a lesser Steeler line and third/fourth tier RB's, it would be good to see Shirley out there getting some live bullets, too.

Yep, a loss seems likely.

But I like Fitzarella better than you seem to. If anything, he's been keeping us in games with his feet, and it's not as if Palmer was knocking 'em dead behind this joke of a line and run game.

Late word from Muckraker Mike is that Sweed will indeed see the field. Clearly Pitt views this game at least in part as a "tune up." Probably accurate, especially considering that Bengals tend to blow it versus the Steelers at home. I have to wonder, though: the Steelers o-line stinks almost as bad as ours...if they keep Sims in and let it fly with the blitz packages...well, we still probably hork up enough big plays to lose. But maybe this is a better game than 27-13.

Yeah, I know, but moral victories are about it for us, eh?
