For those Bengals fans into offseason tea leaf reading (and aren’t we all?) the fact that the Bengals Pro Shop is basically giving away Chad Johnson and Ocho Cinco jerseys offers support for the theory that the Bengals will move Johnson this offseason. Also possibly notable (or possibly not) is that Chad’s own Web site, chadjohnson85.com, now redirects to a zazzle.com page offering cheesy 85- and tiger-themed junk, though at what point between last summer and now that happened, I don’t know. Through the magic of teh google, you can still get to the original site, but there isn’t much of interest there. Someone did log in to his MySpace page about a month back, apparently.
While we’re on the subject, DT John Thornton’s site, jt97.com, has has gone dark as well. Thornton is a free agent come March and isn’t generally expected to return, though the possibility of a backup role has been raised.
