Senior Bowl Day 3 Notes: Bengals Like Raji, Barwin, Robiskie

The mini-combine aspect of the Senior Bowl winds down today, much to the relief of players like Eric Wood.

UC’s Connor Barwin impressed on defense Wednesday. After playing at the TE spot for the first two days, he got some reps at defensive end and made a couple plays. Bengals (and North) head coach Marvin Lewis said that “Three-Way” will play will play on offense, defense and teams Saturday.

Bengals WR coach Mike Sheppard likes OSU wideout Brian Robiskie.

OT Michael Oher, a strong possibility for the Bengals at No. 6 in April, had a second straight solid practice Wednesday.

Everyone now loves DT B.J. Raji. Lewis said Raji could play in a 4-3 or 3-4.

“He’s been an explosive player. He’s been impressive. I think there’s a premium on big guys that can stay on their feet. It’s not just big, but it’s athleticism and pad level and so forth, and I think he has those attributes.”

After some rough early practices, LB Rey Maualuga, another potential pick for Cincinnati in the first, is getting some notice.

LB Clint Sintim, another name that’s popped up on the Bengals’ radar, had a solid day yesterday.
