On Sportscenter, Houshmandzadeh Sounds Like He’s Moving On

by Bengals

On the phone to ESPN’s Sportscenter at 1 a.m. Eastern, T.J. Houshmandzadeh sounded like he was headed elsewhere, though he said the chances that he would remain in Cincinnati had risen from perhaps 10% to 15%.

He said he hoped to hear where he would be going within the next half hour.

He listed Seattle, Minnesota (very excited about possibly playing with Adrian Peterson), Philadelphia and the New York Giants as places he told his agent he would like to play.

T.J. described himself as “nervous,” and wanting to bring the process to a swift conclusion.

Regarding the Bengals, he said that “if it was up to Carson Palmer I’d already be signed [in Cincy].”

Prior stripehype coverage here and here.

Update: John Thornton jumps in with his recap of the call and a further note that he thinks the Bengals could reel T.J. in if they act quickly. FWIW.
