Derrick Ward Facing Choice From Hell? – UPDATED: Ward to Visit Cincy

Pity poor Derrick Ward. The consensus No. 1 running back available in free agency apparently has his choice of playing for the Cincinnati Bengals (4-11-1 last season) or Detroit Lions (0-16).

Other teams rumored to be interested, such as the Rams, Bucs and Broncos, have failed to come calling.

Update: Ward is headed to Cincy for a visit.

Update 2: The Lions denied reports of interest in Ward, and earlier today signed RB Maurice Morris. Meanwhile, Pewter Report says that reports that the Bucs are interested in Ward are not true.

Not a bad thought! Yeah I am more likely to win Mega Millions tonight than have both of them on the Bengals!

I've been watching, but seen nothing about Benson. No reports of him drawing interest elsewhere, either. Ideally I'd like to sign both and kick Perry to the curb but that's probably a pipe dream.

What is the word with the negotiations between Benson and the Bengals? I would rather have Benson back, than Ward.
