Will T.J. Houshmandzadeh don the horned helmet of the Vikings and proceed to rape and pillage the coasts of England…err…the NFC North? Well, your guess is as good as mine, but there are conflicting reports of a new visit to Tampa Bay. Since I’m too lazy to copy and paste a boatload of links, take it away, kirk.
If the rumor mill is to be believed, a Philly visit is in the works as well, despite prior reports that the Eagles had told T.J. to take his agent and shove him. Muckraker Mike wonders if this isn’t more misinformation from Housh’s camp. Me too.
As always, more as it develops.
Update: Minny Star-Trib bloggers say it looks like Zygi Wif & Co. are rolling out the red carpet for T.J. It remains to be seen whether they are also rolling out the green carpet.
Update 2: Muckraker Mike gets the old digs workin’ again, and kicks off with the news that the Bucs have re-signed WR Mark Clayton. That would likely lower Tampa Bay’s interest (if any) in Houshmandzadeh. On the other hand, Seattle was supposedly in the hunt for Clayton, and losing him could boost their pursuit of T.J.
Update 3: T.J. and the Vikings continue to talk today. Has Housh finally found a team willing to pony up $10 million a year? Also, on the Derrick Ward front, it seemed a bit odd for the Broncos to be hosting another RB after singing two on the 27th, until news broke that their deal with J.J. Arrington is falling apart over language issues.
