The Cincinnati Bengals, apparently in anticipation that they will lose T.J. Houshmandzadeh to Minnesota, have reportedly expressed serious interest in former New York Jets WR Laveranues Coles. The 31-year-old Coles was released by the Jets after agreeing to forego a guaranteed $6 million.
In 16 games for the Jets last season, Coles had 70 catches for 850 yards and 7 TDs.
Like Houshmandzadeh, Coles has not drawn much interest and had been expected to sign with the Bills today after Miami declined to enter the bidding.
