Tuesday Reads: Performance Pay, Ocho & Odell

Bengals LB Brandon Johnson, who took over as the starter at WILL after Keith Rivers was lost for the season with a broken jaw, got an additional $200k in performance-based pay for his efforts.

C. Trent thinks the Lions should draft OT Jason Smith with the first pick. And oh, yeah, Chad Johnson is now “Chad Ochocinco.” I’m not a Chad hater, but that’s lame.

Football Outsiders sees a lot of trades in the first round of the draft this year, but not one involving the Bengals, who in this mock take OT Michael Oher to replace “Levi Brown.” Uh, that would be Jones, fellas.

Assault charges against former Bengals LB Odell Thurman have been dismissed, at least for the moment.
