And while I like Maclin, I've got plenty of wideouts -- all of whom are worthless until I can protect the QB. I'll take Andre Smith or Oher over Maclin at this point. BUT IF, as in all likelihood, Monroe is gone, AND, as is quite possible, Chad J. is gone via trade, Maclin makes a great deal of sense at #6. He's tough, fast, and elusive; he is a threat after the catch; he is capable of running end-arounds; and he returns kicks. If Ocho is gone, we should end up with at least a mid-2nd, which means we can go for Maclin at #6, use either the Ocho pick or #38 to get the best OT available and still have a 2nd and high 3rd to claim a DE and C. In any case, Maclin has all the signs of being a franchise player coming out of Mizzou. I can't imagine why any Bengals fans would rue or boo the pick.
