TGIF: KC Signs Ghiaciuc, Undrafted Rookie Class Announced

Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli makes it clear that getting QB Matt Cassell killed is high on his list of priorities for the ’09 season. A surprised Greg can only note that, “watching Eric Ghiaciuc start and play all 16 games for the 2008 Bengals as their center was like watching a garden hose spray water at a screen door. Everything got through.” WDR just can’t believe the news.

At least Bengals fans can stop worrying about the possibility that Cincinnati will re-sign Ghiaciuc now. At least until KC wises up.

Moving on, the Bengals have issued their official list of college free agent signings. The players signed are:

G Colin Dow, Montana
QB Billy Farris, Colorado State
RB Marlon Lucky, Nebraska
CB Rico Murray, Kent State
S Tom Nelson, Illinois State
WR Greg Orton, Purdue
FB Chris Pressley, Wisconsin
WR David Richmond, San Jose State
LB Dan Skuta, Grand Valley State

WR Quan Crosby, whom several reports have placed in Cincinnati, is apparently not yet a Bengal, but is expected to sign today when he arrives in town for this weekend’s rookie minicamp.

C. Trent takes a look at the rooks’ jersey numbers and who has worn them before.
