Bengals Postcard; Another Player Made for Orange

by Bengals

Apparently, Peter King and Don Banks were too busy to visit Bengals training camp, so CNNSI.com sent Ben Reiter to do the Bengals postcard.

Also, according to ProFootballTalk.com, the Bengals signed tight end  Kolo Kapanui, who was arrested in May for urinating in public and making lewd comments to a woman who saw him. They also signed J.P. Foschi, who I don’t believe has ever been arrested for urinating in public, which is a plus.

In addition, Marvin Lewis said he was pretty pleased with the offensive line, Bernard Scott, Daniel Coats and a few others in his press conference. In other news, Carson Palmer has a high ankle sprain and Rey Maualuga should play against New England. Lewis also tried to defend Mike Brown’s meeting performance in Hard Knocks, saying the meetings have been conducted the same way everywhere he’s been. While that might be true, it’s not about how the meeting is run, it’s about who’s running it. In Baltimore, Ozzie Newsome was running the meetings. Newsome is a gifted football mind and a future Hall of Famer. Mike Brown has had about the same amount of success in football as Charlie Brown (Keep trying Mike! This year you’ll kick that football…). You gotta love Marvin for his loyalty, even though it’s his owner’s incompetence that might soon get him fired. Sigh.

And finally, I’ll finish this post with my suggestion for the Bengals alternate jersey this season. As long as our owner keeps stocking the roster with troublemakers we’re going to be the laughingstock of the NFL. We might as well embrace it.
