The October 25th game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chicago Bears, originally scheduled for a 1 p.m. Eastern kickoff, has been shifted to a 4:15 start time. It will be broadcast on Fox, which is currently scheduled to air Atlanta at Dallas, and New Orleans at Miami.
“This is certainly an indication that the league office and Fox Sports believe this will be an attractive game,” said Katie Blackburn, Bengals executive vice-president, in a news release, “and playing in the later time slot should significantly increase the national audience able to see a showcase event from Cincinnati and Paul Brown Stadium.”
Cincinnati had originally been scheduled to play all its games early, but a conflict involving a New York Jets game and the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur led to the Bengals-Pittsburgh game two weeks ago being moved to 4:15. This gave their dramatic win a bigger stage, which, as Katie says, they will almost certainly get with the time-shift here as well. The game also has some rivalry overtones, as Chicago will be faced with two castoffs in Cedric Benson and Tank Johnson who are both in the process of reviving their careers.

Ah, that’s good news since I will be making a 700 mile jaunt up north for this one.
They moved this game BEFORE they beat Baltimore in their house!!! Gotta Love that! WHO FREAKIN’ DEY Bengals Nation!!!
