Bengals – Raiders Open Thread
Out in Oakland, RB Cedric Benson looked fine in warmups but still isn’t expected to go today. C. Trent relays word that first-round pick Andre “Moobs” Smith is also warming up, so we may see his Bengals debut, as well as RB Larry Johnson’s, today. If active, Smith will likely not start, but instead come in on Cincinnati’s unbalanced line packages. As for LJ, he’s expected to get about 10 carries against the Raiders. RB Bernard Scott will get the start.

Nope on Smith. Inactive list is out & Andre is once again a no-go. Benson confirmed out. Livings goes, Mathis sits at guard; Keith Rivers out, B. Johnson in. As usual, no Simpson or Crash Dummy.
November 22nd, 2009 at 7:57 pmKey mistakes by Joe Flacco and Ed Reed lead to an Indianapolis victory in Baltimore.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:07 pmHUGE upset in KC! Steelers LOSE in OT! MASSIVE opportunity for Cincinnati to pull away in the AFCN today.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:18 pmBengals look like crap on offense on their first drive. Two straight false starts.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:22 pmLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL @ Cleveland! Way to lose, chokers!
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:25 pmWOW. Bengals recover, start slinging the ball, go 78 yards, get the TD and chew up nearly 10 minutes. 7-0 good guys.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:29 pmD stop Raiders…back on offense.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:35 pmSpeedy Q1 clocks in at about 25 “real” minutes. Bengals still on top 7-0 and driving.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:41 pm…and then Chad collects his second false start, Palmer fumbles, Oakland ball at their 27…sigh.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:47 pm…and the Raiders give it right back.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:49 pmTD No. 2 for Palmer. 14-0 good guys.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:57 pmDHB Drops a first down pass, forces a punt. Of course yet another penalty on the Bengals on the return…
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:04 pmAnother early snap by Cook…3 and out.
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:08 pmRaiders shred the Bengals D…14-7 Bengals with a minute left in the half.
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:23 pmSumbich…Whitworth goes down.
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:26 pmMarvin almost gives the Raiders 3 at the end. 14-7 Bengals at the half. Cincy needs to pull it head out of its butt. D is giving Gradkowski way too much time, O has gone back to shooting itself in the foot too often. Injury to Whit hurts, but Collins showed he could play LT last season.
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:35 pmRaiders come out strong, drive down for a FG. 14-10 Bengals.
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:55 pmWhat a run by Scott!!!
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:01 pmWow…Bengals have six shots inside the 10, can’t get it in, give up a big sack and miss the FG. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:07 pmFUMBLE! Geathers runs in back to the 13!
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:11 pm…and the Bengals can only get 3. 17-10 good guys.
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:15 pmBengals lose Domato Peko per Lapham…not details yet.
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:26 pmColes makes a big catch to end Q3. Still 17-10 Bengals.
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:28 pmPathetic.
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:38 pmDouble pathetic. Bengals doing all they can to give this game away. Raiders with the ball at the Cincinnati 43…
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:46 pmPICK by JJ!
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:50 pm2:20, Bengals up by 7, Raiders get the ball 80 yards from the end zone with 2 TOs and the 2:00 warning.
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:57 pmThat sound you hear is the Bengals CHOKING just like the Steelers in KC today. 17 all with :33 to play.
November 23rd, 2009 at 12:11 amGame. Caldwell blows the KO. Raiders ball on the 17. Huge opportunity missed today. Knee jerk goats of the game: o-line, for no protection of Palmer, defense for no pressure on Gradkowski. Way to be “pros,” Bengals.
November 23rd, 2009 at 12:15 amI wish I knew about this open thread, I have stuff not right for the other place I post my in-game angst. I’ll be back.
