This is going up a bit early today, but I’m going to be in and out up until game time, so here are some early notes on the game:
RB Larry Johnson will share carries today with RB Cedric Benson.
Vikings WR Percy Harvin is not expected to play this afternoon. On the Bengals sideline, both DT Domata Peko and RB Bernard Scott were ruled out as of last night.
Doc: Bengals defense will be tested today. Well, duh.
Almost game time. Everybody on their lucky couch?
1st and goal Bengals...4th and goal from the four...FG. Sigh. 23-10 Bengals.
Big 42 yard run by Ced gets him close to 100 for the day.
TD Vikes. Game over.
aaaand J-Joe shaken up.
And The Franchise starts the second half with a kickoff out of bounds. Unreal.
aaand the Bengals cough it up on the ensuing drive, giving the Vikes a free FG. 16-7 at the half.
Pathetic play by the O today.
FG Vikes with :38 left. 13-7 Minny.
Benson over 1,000 yards for the season. Congrats!
TD Bengals! Chad with the grab. 10-7 Vikings.
Crocker questionable to return with an ankle injury per joe reedy.
TD Vikes. 10-0 Minnesota.
Also 10-0 Baltimore over Detroit, so no help backing into the AFCN title there so far.
Bengals get out near their 40 but cant get crap done on O today. Punt. Net of 5 yards after a big return and unnecessary roughness call on Rey. Sigh.
Crocker carted off, apparently done.
3-0 Vikings.
End Q1 0-0 but Vikes in FG range.
Crocker back but Vikes driving.
S Chris Crocker hurt, and Cincy already short on safeties.
And the Bengals can't do anything with it. 3 plays, 0 yards, punt. Minny ball at their 38 after a crappy 31 yard punt by Huber.
Pick! Hall grabs one from Lord Favre. Bengals ball at their 31.
Bengals can't generate anything but another false start (Chad) & punt. Minny ball @ their 33.
D steps up. Vikes go 3-and-out.
...aaaand Palmer sacked. Bengals punt.
offensive PI, declined...then another false start...something like four flags in right plays...
And here we go! Bengals get the ball, promptly commit holding and false start penalties...sigh. Do pick up a 3rd and 13 to.
