The Bengals selected Florida defensive end Carlos Dunlap with their second pick, a supremely talented pass rusher who once again will raise some character concerns. Dunlap was arrested on DUI charges last December. Still, he is 6-5, 277 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in just 4.66 seconds. If he can stay out of trouble (and someone should be hired to hand him nothing but Sprites for his entire tenure in Cincinnati), the Bengals got an absolute steal at No. 54. Dunlap destroyed my beloved Ohio State Buckeyes in the national championship game a few years back and was viewed by many to be a first rounder. In addition to his character, there are also some concerns about his effort, but this deep in the second round it’s worth the risk. He could give the Bengals pass rush even more electricity and could grow into an every-down end over time. For the second straight year, the Bengals essentially got two first-round talents. Now, they just have to work on keeping them out of trouble.
