Marvin doesn’t care to try to talk to Palmer.

“If a guy doesn’t want to play,” Lewis told Yahoo!, “you don’t want to talk him out of it.”

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a really juicy Palmer piece so I figured I would toss another log on the fire. But apparently Marvin seems any talk with Palmer would be futile and would have little benefit for the team. One of the most likely scenarios could be Palmer does what other Bengals have done in the Mike Brown era; Sit.

One of the more popular speculations floating around the league say Palmer may still be a Bengal in 2011, but would be dealt in at later time. “On Mike Brown’s terms” if you will. It may seem dumb at first but it’s really just like the cliché line “You can’t quit! You’re fired!”. It may just be my optimistic view of my team, but if Palmer does want to continue his career with a new team, he’ll have to do it on Mike’s terms.
