Bengals Interested in RB Mario Fannin
The Bengals have been scouting numerous RB’s this year because of the uncertainty with Cedric Benson and one the of RB’s they have shown interest in is Mario Fannin. Auburn running back Mario Fannin is generating a lot of interest as a potential later round, third-down type back. Teams love his ability to help out in blitz pick-up and catch the football out of the backfield. Hearing he’s getting long looks from the Patriots, Redskins, Steelers, Dolphins and Bengals – Wes Bunting, National Football Post I really like Mario Fannin as he is excels on 3rd downs in pass protection and catching [...]
Updates
Hey everyone, C. Byers here. I’ve done quite a bit of work since I’ve taken over. And my goal is to turn this into one of the best sports blogs in the Fansided network. If you haven’t noticed already I’ve been been adding new tabs and sections. If you go across the top bar you can see the four new tabs reading “Team info” “schedule” “about” and “community”. The team info tab will be your one place for any info on player rosters, depth charts and draft picks. From there you have the schedule, it will updated as soon as [...]
The Big Worry of Drafting QB Round 2.
How do the Bengals get a QB in this draft class if one isn’t taken at pick 4, and the other good ones may be taken by pick 35? Bengals.com writer Geoff Hobson put up an interesting article about the QB draft class, and how it’s going to be drafted. The issue at hand is as I mentioned earlier is “If the Bengals don’t land Blaine Gabbert or Cam Newton, how can the Bengals still land a quarterback?” There’s only a short list of actual contributors in this draft class; ones that won’t be career bench warmers. Most “draft gurus” [...]
Bengals Excited About Offense
Vic Carucci of NFL.com wrote an article about the Bengals Offense but really only talked about Jay Gruden. While I am excited to see what the offense will look like under the guidance of Gruden, thats not what makes me excited about the coming season. The Bengals offense has a lot of question marks going into the draft, while they still are only a few positions away from becoming a contender. With Carson Palmer saying he will never play for the Bengals again and with no immediate answer on the roster it makes the QB position an instant need whether it be though [...]
Marvin doesn’t care to try to talk to Palmer.
“If a guy doesn’t want to play,” Lewis told Yahoo!, “you don’t want to talk him out of it.” It’s been a while since I’ve seen a really juicy Palmer piece so I figured I would toss another log on the fire. But apparently Marvin seems any talk with Palmer would be futile and would have little benefit for the team. One of the most likely scenarios could be Palmer does what other Bengals have done in the Mike Brown era; Sit. One of the more popular speculations floating around the league say Palmer may still be a Bengal in [...]
