Recently Vic Carucci of NFL.com caught up with Buffalo Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Being Carson’s back up for two years in Cincinnati, Fitzpatrick and Palmer became friends and kept in contact after Fitzpatrick’s tenure in Cincinnati ended.

When asked to comment on the “Palmer vs Mike Brown” Fitzpatrick replied saying

I’ve talked with Carson, but I don’t really want to talk about his business. But I will say that those are two very strong-minded people, Mr. Brown and Carson. It seems like it’s definitely at a stalemate right now, and I don’t see it going anywhere.

Fitzpatrick finished with saying how even though Palmer is strong minded, he still will find it as a shock if Palmer does retire.

To not see Carson playing next year, that’s surprising to me, if that happens that way. That’s definitely a shock to me because he loves the game so much. But I know they’re both strong-minded, so who knows what’s going to happen?
