What Bengals Free Agency bust did ESPN feel deserves a top 3 nod? Sam Adams? Dexter Jackson? Possibly even Antwan Odom? ESPN Insider and Football Outsiders feel all those pale in comparison to the knee injury that set the tone to the Bengals 2010-11 NFL Season Wide Receiver, Antonio Bryant. The Bengals only made this list once (luckily), and it’s interesting that Bryant is a top ten Free Agent bust dating back to the 90’s. (The farthest back the list goes is 1995)
The Bengals have had a lot of bad free agency pickups and draft busts in the Mike Brown era. But it makes me question was Bryant really the “most disappointing” Free Agency? I understand the argument for him, highly sought after FA WR, in fact probably the best FA WR on the market last off season and that he was paid millions of dollars when barely suiting up for practice and never playing a down in stripes. But was his knee issues, the most disappointing? That part I’m not sure about, part of me feels a guy like Sam Adams was also “heavily” disappointing, as he underperformed and had his weight issues. (Which is something a player can control more then a bum knee) But like I said, I understand the argument, what do you readers about Bryant being the top Bengals bust?
