Cris Collinsworth Thinks Bengals Will Trade Carson Palmer

Seem’s like it’s been a little while since the last time we talked mentioned Carson Palmer on the blog, but the trade subject is being brought up again.

On Thursday night, former Bengals WR Cris Collinsworth was on NFL Networks “The Rich Eisen Podcast” and was asked about the Palmer situation. He replied with the following:

I think Carson’s finished here for a lot of reasons — A, I know that the movers were at his house the other day. … At the very least, Marvin Lewis is ready to move on

He went on to elaborate on the situation and what he feels Mike Brown is thinking to do.

Mike’s a businessman, and I think Mike Brown is probably the guy that is holding up the idea that Carson Palmer is going to be traded — A) he doesn’t like somebody to dictate terms to him in the way that Carson has done it. But now with the drafting of a quarterback, I think that Mike will get what he can for Carson Palmer, and I do think there’s going to be some interest.

Let’s see if Colilinsworth is right on this. I know most fans would love to get at least something out of Palmer rather then just let him go into retirement. The only question that needs to be answered is, now that the draft is over what is Carson Palmer’s value?
