From Local 12 WKRC Cincinnati, a report echoes what has been vaguely rumored on the Twitterverse for hours- Ochocinco to the Pats.

Per the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Joe Reedy, the deal with the Patriots “has been renegotiated to a three-year deal“. From an Adam Schefter tweet, “To get WR Chad Ochocinco from Cincinnati, New England surrendered a 5th-round pick in 2012 and a 6th-round pick in 2013.” In addition, the Patriots did not renegotiate Ochocinco’s contract payment for 2011. He will still receive $6 million this year, but the rest of the details on the new contract have not been revealed.

Here’s what Ochocinco tweeted himself at 5:56 pm:

And a YouTube montage of Ocho if you’re feeling nostalgic. I know I am.

A nice moment: Ocho greets Belichick at midfield during a Pre-season game on 2009′s Hard Knocks.

Finally, Belichick and Ochocinco quotes from the past [pulled via Joe Reedy and Christopher Price]:

Belichick on Chad:

“I like Chad. I like him as a player. I like him as a person. I like his enthusiasm and the fun he has with football, and I like how he competes on the football field. I have a lot of respect for that. [We’re] an odd couple, but in the end I think we have a lot of things in common.”

“[He’s] related to Keyshawn, so we kind of stayed in touch with him through the years there, and then got to spend some time with him a couple years ago out there at the Pro Bowl.”

“[We] kind of ran him into the ground — it was a good workout. It was very impressive. He was, I’d say, a little raw coming out of college, but very talented and clearly he made the transition very quickly to picking up the skills and techniques and so forth, that maybe he didn’t get a chance to do in college. He picked those up in a hurry.” – on a workout with Ocho in 2001

Ochocinco on Belichick:

“Bill and I got very well acquainted once we got to the Pro Bowl and got to know each other. It became a relationship beyond just a football player and a coach. He became a friend of mine. He has a lot of respect for me in my game and I have a lot of respect for him in everything he’s done as a coach. We just became really close and fond of each other’s work. He’s one that I look up to tremendously, one that I’ve never played for, but I show the same respect as if he was my own head coach.”
