Bengals Agree on Terms With A.J. Green
Wide Receiver A.J. Green, the 4th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft has officially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. Contract information is a bit hazy to say the least. The amount Green is due from the Bengals is for now unknown to the public. The length of the contract will most likely be the ‘rookie standard’ meaning 1st round picks will have 4 year contracts with options for a 5th season. Green brings something to the table that the Bengals haven’t seen on their roster in quite sometime, an elite receiving talent without an ego to match. With many assuming Green [...]
Bengals Seek Fanene’s Return
Jonathan Fanene is one of those guys who reminds us just how much value you can find in a 7th Round draft pick. The Bengals drafted the Samoan-born defensive end from the University of Utah in 2005. After spending his first 11 games on the practice squad, Fanene saw his first NFL action in a game against the Steelers. He suffered a hamstring injury that further limited his playing time in 2006. 2007 marked his first season of significant time on the field, appearing in all but one of the regular season games. His performance was impressive enough that the [...]
Bengals “Reach out” to Brian Leonard
The Bengals have reached out to one of their own in Brian Leonard. Leonard, was originally thought to be entering Free Agency as restricted Free Agent but is now an unrestricted FA.
It’s good news that the Bengals are already reaching out to him. His statistics on the back of his trading card may not show it, but Leonard is a very important player to the Bengals offense.
Bengals Sign Bruce Gradkowski
The inevitable move finally happened, the Cincinnati Bengals have came to terms with Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski. And not to long after they said they weren’t going to move Carson Palmer. The terms of the contract for Gradkowski is somewhat unknown but Bruce will be a Bengal for the next 2 years. Which will probably be a cheaper price then most QB’s this Free Agency, considering some team is going to go sell the farm to get Kevin Kolb. And in comparison to Tavaris Jackson’s deal with the Seahawks of 8 million dollars it’s will probably be around those same numbers, if not [...]
Two Years Ago: Chad Ochocinco is tackled by Michael Huff #24 of the Oakland Raiders. Huff is a free agent this year and is a top target for teams looking for a safety (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images North America) The Bengals are poised to make some big splashes in Free Agency. With Mike Brown announcing that Palmer “has retired”, that means that the Bengals should have around $50 million to spend on free agents, contract extensions, and drafted rookies. On the defensive side of the field, the Bengals need to return to their top-4 form of 2009. In all fairness, injuries plagued the [...]
On the offensive side of the ball, the Bengals need to address three of the most important positions on the offense. And without addressing them, whoever happens to be under center will be in for a world of hurt . But with these 3 positions being addressed in some form look for the offense to be a little more up beat then expected.
Bengals Bidding on Raiders’ Robert Gallery
During a Tweet Tuesday night Jason Cole from Yahoo said: Cincy joined in bidding for Robert Gallery, along with Sea Shockingly meaning that the Bengals are being aggressive in free agency and that the Bengals are in a bidding war for veteran Offensive Guard, Robert Gallery. This comes as quite a shock considering the franchises reputation for being cheap. But it looks to be true, Cincinnati could be the place the 30 yr old guard lands this season. If Gallery can stay healthy, he could definitely be a great snag to help the offense grow. The reality of saying ‘if’ Gallery can stay [...]
SH: Keeping Track of Bengals UDFA Signings

Brian Lainhart, FS Kent St. Chris Riley, OL Illinois St. DeQuin Evans, DE Kentucky Thomas Weber, K AZ State Matt O’Donnell, OL Queens (CIS) Mark Wertterer, OL Louisville Josh Davis, OL Georgia Bart Johnson, WR TCU Stephen Franklin, LB So Illinois Colin Cochart, TE So Dakota St. Jamere Holland, WR Lindenwood (Dismissed [...]
Marvin Anticipates Ocho at Camp, Bengals Will Pursue Veteran QB, 12 Rookies Committed Already
The Bengals Press Conference this morning at 11:30 am was filled with juiciness. The biggest headline was that Mike Brown declared Carson Palmer to have retired. But, that wasn’t the only bomb that Mike Brown and Marvin dropped today. Here’s a summary of some other major topics from the press conference: Brown admits the Bengals are looking to sign a veteran QB: We’ll look for a veteran, but we have a good, young draft pick in Andy Dalton; we like him. Brown admits Dalton will have “teething problems”, but tells the media “you’ll like him“: We think he is promising [...]
This is the first reported signing that hasn’t come in from Twitter somehow… The Canadian Press reports that “Matt O’Donnell is off to join the Cincinnati Bengals“. This is a big, friggin’ dude. He’s 6’10″ and 340 pounds. He actually has a pretty intriguing history. He was selected 15th overall in the Canadian Football League Draft in May by the Saskatchewan Roughriders. But, apparently, he decided to give up his dreams of rough-riding in Saskatchewan and he actually tried out for the Boston Celtics with no college basketball experience. But, that career path didn’t pan out, and he returned to the Roughriders, [...]
