Tank Johnson Cut by Bengals

What was rumored to be in the works last night has come to light today, as Tank Johnson was released by the Bengals today. The eight-year veteran spent the last 2 seasons with the Bengals and was part of a resurgent defense that routinely finished in the mid-high 20’s in the NFL, to a top 15 defense the last 2 years, including a unit that finished 4th overall in 2009 when Johnson started 13 games. Johnson came into training camp with a knee injury, and had reportedly fallen to 5th on the depth chart.

The Bengals also reportedly waived reserve TE/FB Garrett Mills.
