Playing in the AFC North, Cook routinely has to block some of the NFL's best nose tackles, including Casey Hampton pictured above.
According to Newsday Writer Bob Glauber, the Bengals have signed C Kyle Cook to a 4-year contract extension worth $14 million and $5 million in guaranteed money. It hasn’t been an easy road for Cook, as he entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State in 2007. After a short stint with Minnesota, Cook joined the Bengals’ practice squad in 2008 and worked his way to full-time starter in 2009 and helped lead a resurgent Bengals running game to a AFC North Title. Cook joins CB Leon Hall and LT Andrew Whitworth as signing extensions this week that will keep all three players in Bengals stripes through the 2015 season. The Bengals clearly believe that they will be the core of this teams’ success over that span.
