According to California Watch, an operation by Kentucky state narcotics agents that tracked a shipment of high-grade marijuana from Northern California have led police to Bengals WR Jerome Simpson and LT Anthony Collins. They were at Simpson’s home in Crestview Hills, Ky. yesterday when a package containing 2.5 pounds of marijuana arrived at the house.

“The house was set up as a potential distribution network. They had it all set up to receive supplies of high-grade marijuana from Northern California, and from there, it was being distributed from that residence,”

said Tommy LaNier, who is the head of the National Marijuana Initiative. Simpson and Collins were detained and interviewed at the residence, but were not arrested. You can read the rest of the story here, but it certainly doesn’t look good for the two players, who’s careers appeared to be finally on the right track as both players have showed the potential to be good NFL players and are in contract years. Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said he had heard rumors of the bust but had no further comment and Simpson stated on his twitter account that theses rumors were 100% false. The two players practiced today and appear good to play Sunday’s game versus the 49ers.
