Bengals WR Jerome Simpson is active for the Bengals’ game today vs. the 49ers despite being part of an ongoing drug investigation and not practicing most of the week. The team released the following statement:
Jerome Simpson resumed team activities Friday afternoon and after evaluating his readiness, the coaching staff has determined he will be active for today’s game.
WR’s A.J. Green and Andre Caldwell are expected to be the starting WR, while Simpson will occupy the 3rd WR spot.
