Benson Watch Continues

AUTHOR: | IN: Bengals | COMMENTS: None Yet

NFL insider John Clayton has been reporting today that the NFL has yet to determine if it will uphold RB Cedric Benson‘s three-game suspension. Because of this, Clayton is speculating that Benson should be able to play on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who currently rank 16th in rushing defense and 9th in interceptions, so a good running game will be key to getting the road win. If Benson were to be suspended after Sunday’s game, he would miss games against Indianapolis, Seattle, and Tennessee.     Want more Bengals news? Bengals Place OG Williams on Roster Exemption

AUTHOR: | IN: Bengals | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

After a 4 game suspension, the Bengals will have offensive guard Bobbie Williams back in the fold. Williams was out for the suspension due to a a violation of performance-enhancing substances. Williams is being placed on a week long roster exemption to allow him to practice with the team. As game day approaches the team must cut another player to be able to place Williams on the game day roster. This brings the question of who do the Bengals part ways with to make room for their starting guard? OG Otis Hudson? RB Cedric Peerman? Rookie TE Colin Cochart? WR Andrew [...]

Bengals-Bills Halftime Update

AUTHOR: | IN: Bengals | COMMENTS: None Yet

After the half, the Buffalo Bills lead the Cincinnati Bengals 17-3. The Bengals defense held up well, forcing the Bills to punt on five of their first six drives. In the middle of the second quarter, the Bils only had a field goal, largely due to a fluke deflection 24-yard reception that kept the Bills drive alive. The teams exchanged punts for most of the half, but when Andy Dalton threw a pass slightly behind Andre Caldwell, it was deflected by Caldwell’s feet, where Bills defender Brian Scott picked the ball out of the air and returned it for a [...]

Why Today’s Bengals-Bills Game Will Be Closer Than You Think

AUTHOR: | IN: Stripe Columns | COMMENTS: None Yet

With the undefeated Buffalo Bills fresh off a stunning upset of the New England Patriots last week, some fans are already counting today’s 1 pm game as a loss for the Cincinnati Bengals. After all, the Bills offense is the best in the league (first in points scored) and the Bengals have lost the last 10 straight against the Bills. And it’s the Cincinnati Bengals, right? That’s the thought process of the NFL experts and many fans. I’m really excited for today’s game. It’s going to be a close one, and not the huge blowout that some have predicted. In [...]
