Final Injury Report: Baltimore's Pro Bowl O-Lineman Is Doubtful

The biggest injury news this week comes from the Ravens side where Pro Bowl Offensive Lineman Marshal Yanda is doubtful. Yanda suffered a rib injury during last week’s game against the Ravens. Yanda means a lot to this offensive line, but I’ll let a Ravens fan take it away:

The bad news is that guard Marshal Yanda has not yet returned to practice from his thigh and rib contusions and is in jeopardy of missing this week’s game. Yanda has been voted to his first Pro-Bowl this season and is the Ravens’ best offensive lineman. He consistently blocks into the second level on running plays and rarely lets rushers by him in passing situations.

Ravens WED THUR FRI STATUS
WR Anquan Boldin (Knee) DNP DNP LP Doubtful
LB Dannell Ellerbe (Head) DNP DNP DNP Doubtful
G Marshal Yanda (Chest) DNP DNP LP Doubtful

CB Cary Williams (Head) LP LP LP Questionable
DE Cory Redding (Ankle) LP LP LP Questionable
DT Arthur Jones (Illness) DNP FP
S Bernard Pollard (Illness) DNP

The Bengals are again surprisingly healthy this week. The only major news is that stud defensive end Carlos Dunlap missed practice on Thursday to rest his hamstring injury. Dunlap was limited in practice on Wednesday and Friday, and is questionable for the game. It sounds like he will definitely play on Sunday, despite the questionable tag.

S Taylor Mays missed all three practices this week and is doubtful for the game. It is a shame that he might miss this opportunity to play, because Mays has been worked into defensive packages more and more in the last few games, but losing Mays isn’t a huge shock.

Backup T Anthony Collins had an eye infection on Friday and sat out in practice. Veteran S Chris Crocker sat out on Wednesday’s practice (as he normally does), and was full go on Friday. 4th-string CB and special teams gunner Brandon Ghee was limited in practice Friday, but is probable to play Sunday. WR AJ Green practiced fully on Friday and it seems that his shoulder injury is getting better and better every day. He is probable for the game. 3rd-round pick LB Dontay Moch missed two practices with migraine issues and is doubtful, but he hasn’t been active for a game all year. DE Frostee Rucker and T Andrew Whitworth were both limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but practiced fully on Friday and were probable.
