Now that Jeff Fisher, the top head coaching candidate in the NFL, has landed, the rest of the domino pieces are expected to fall quickly.
The Miami Dolphins were pursuing Fisher, but now must decide between Zimmer and the other possible coaching candidates out there.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers received permission from the Bengals today to interview Zimmer, meaning that Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimmer has now interviewed with the Bucs and Dolphins.
There’s still a lot of head coaching candidates out there though, so Zimmer still has a good chance of staying. Here are some of the remaining candidates: Panthers’ OC Rob Chudzinski, Titans’ DC Jerry Gray, Packers’ OC Joe Philbin, Bears Special Teams Coach Dave Toub, and former head coaches Marty Schottenheimer, Brad Childress and Mike Sherman.
