Bills had bounty system under Gregg Williams

Several NFL players have come out and said that Gregg Williams has been paying out bounties to players since he was the head coach for the Buffalo Bills from 2001-03. A number of former Bills have told BuffaloNews.com Williams had a bounty system in Buffalo, including former Bills safety Coy Wire:

There was financial compensation That’s real. That happened in Buffalo. There were rewards. There never was a point where cash was handed out in front of the team. But surely, you were going to be rewarded. When somebody made a big hit that hurt an opponent, it was commended and encouraged. This continues to look uglier by the minute for Williams, who may be facing a lifetime ban from the NFL from Roger Goodell.

NFL will Investigate Redskins Bounty Program

Now the NFL is investigating William’s bounty program he had while he was the Washington Redskins defensive coordinator. The fact that multiple teams were involved in this Bountygate will make it interesting to see how Roger Goodell disciplines these teams now that he knows multiple teams were involved. So far, there is strong evidence of Washington,Buffalo, and New Orleans having been involved in bounty programs.
