Sept. 11, 2011; Jacksonville FL, USA; Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end

Former Jaguars DE Matt Roth visited the Bengals Friday. In Jacksonville last season, he registered 24 tackles and 3.5 sacks, so his main specialty is as a situational pass-rusher. Its unknown weather the Friday signings of DE Derrick Harvey and DE Jamaal Anderson will have any bearing on Roth’s desire to play in Cincinnati. Bengals Defensive Coordinator Mike Zimmer is a mastermind at taking players will limited ability and putting them in the best position to display their strengths and mask their weaknesses. Bengals fans may also remember Roth from his days as a Cleveland Brown, where he recorded 7.5 sacks in two seasons with the Browns.
