While most experts have believed for awhile that the Minnesota Vikings would select USC OT Matt Kalil, it now appears the team may be focused on LSU CB Morris Claiborne.
Talk has heated up that Matt Kalil could slide in the draft after being a consensus top-4 pick for most of the draft process.
Boise State OLB Shea McClellin could get drafted as high as #18 to the San Diego Chargers.
The possibility of a holdout is still in play for Steelers WR Mike Wallace.
Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer pointed out today that the 21st overall selection has generated the 11th most starts since 2000 with 742, which is higher than the top overall pick, but the 17th overall pick hasn’t been as successful, as that spot has had the 13th worst production for starters with 653 starts. The chances are good the Bengals will get at least one solid starter in this year’s first round.
