With the Bengals in desperate need for a LB, Kuechly is the draft’s top ILB prospect, and arguably the most complete LB prospect in this year’s draft. Playing on a bad Boston College team, Kuechly was the lone bright spot who never took a game off. He averaged a ridiculous 16 tackles per game(NCAA record) his senior year on his way to 191 total tackles (102 solo), while also breaking the BC and ACC career tackle records with 532 career tackles, and was awarded for his outstanding play by winning the Butkus Award. Based on the recent history of Butkus Award winners, Kuechly has a very good chance to be a great NFL player:

 Derrick Johnson, Texas

 Paul Posluszny, Penn State

Patrick Willis, Ole Miss

James Laurinaitis, Ohio State

Aaron Curry, Wake Forest

Rolando McClain, Alabama

Von Miller, Texas A&M

Luke Kuechly, Boston College
