The Seahawks found depth at the safety position in the later rounds of the draft as they took Winston Guy ( a.k.a. The Predator). After an above-average career his first three years at Kentucky, Defensive Coordinator Rick Minter joined the staff, the same Minter who had several current NFL coaches on his staff while he was the head man at the University of Cincinnati, including Jets head coach Rex Ryan, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. Minter developed Guy into one of SEC’s best defensive players as a hybrid safety/linebacker. He’ll play the strong safety at the NFL level, a spot that is vacant for the Bengals after the team cut Chris Crocker.

6’1″ 218 pounds

*Guy spent most of the offseason recovering from shoulder surgery resulting from a torn labrum.
