With the Bengals having only one CB on the roster under the age of 25 (Brandon Ghee), the team is in desperate need of a CB who can be counted on for the foreseeable future. Kirkpatrick will now feel that void. He’s arguably the most physical CB prospect n this draft, which is a trait DC Mike Zimmer desires of all of his defensive backs. He plays the run game very well, which is another key attribute to have in the run-heavy AFC North. He doesn’t have the speed to consistently keep up with the Mike Wallace’s of the world, but if he can get his hands on you at the LOS, you’ll have a tough time finding any room to get open. Captain Kirk is a solid pick for the Bengals at #17.
