Relive Bengals’ 1988 Season on NFL Network

The NFL Network will be airing the 1988 Bengals season in a 30 minute show at 1 p.m. toady. After coming off a disappointing 4-11 season, the Bengals bounced back to tie for the NFL’s best record in 1988, secured home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, and won the AFC Championship. As disappointing as the ending was, watching old highlights of Sam Wyche firing up the troops while Ickey Woods invented the famous “Ickey Shuffle” never gets old. Watching Tim Krumrie terrorize opposing backfields while David Fulcher was as great a ball-hawk as their was in the league. WR Tim McGee was “the” original #85, and he and Boomer Esiason were one of the greatest QB/WR duos in Bengals history.
