It is a safe bet that Green, Sanu, Jones, Hawkins, and Shipley are most likely going to be your main five. This leaves one spot left for the 53 man roster. You could make an argument that Tate will get the spot because of his contributions to the return game, but if you remember, he was the return man when Adam “Pacman” Jones was on the P.U.P list. Tate did continue his return duties both on kickoffs and punts throughout the year, but that may have been more because Leon Hall was hurt and we could not afford to lose anymore depth by putting “pacman” back there and risking an injury.

However now that Hall is healthy and Pacman will be at the nickle slot, most likely anyways, that may put Tate’s job in danger.

Vidal Hazelton did not contribute much to the team last season, so he is deffintaly on the short list.

The coaching staff in Cincinnati stated last year that they wanted to start Armon Binns the last couple of game, because they think he has the skill set and knowledge to be the #2 guy out there. He had a solid weekend at Bengals minicamp and further reinforced the belief that he’ll find a way to make it onto the 53-man roster when the NFL regular season starts.

Well, I’m biased because I’m a big Justin Hilton fan, but they have been talking up Binns this whole offseason.
