This is really noticeable not just because they ranked dead last on the list, but because they did it in the same city where the Reds ranked 15th on the same list. How did the Bengals finish last on the list with their stadium a mile down the road from the Red’s? The finger automatically gets pointed at Mike Brown. Brown runs this franchise as his family’s piggy bank, giving his relatives executive positions. He has many family members in the front office, most notably his daughter, Katie Blackburn as president of the team and her husband Troy Blackburn as executive vice president.
In the 21-years as Brown as owner, their has been very little reward for Bengals fans. Brown promised Hamilton County when they made the new stadium, Paul Brown Stadium, that the team would turn it around. So the county voted to raise taxes to fund the stadium. Since then, the team has produced three winning seasons, with only two playoff appearances. The franchise value has actually dropped since the new stadium was built. The stadium agreement Brown has with the county is the worst in all of sports. Fans in the “WhoDey” nation have used social media to publically criticize Mike Brown and the way runs this franchise; but I’ll let you surf the web and read it for yourself.
