Pro Football Focus wrote a nice article on how the slot receiver has become a premium position in the NFL.

They also profiled their newest Secret Superstar: OLB Aaron Maybin of the New York Jets. These are always a good read, and Bengals fans may recall their 2011 Secret Superstar article on DT Geno Atkins.

Bears WR Johnny Knox may miss all of the 2012 season as he’s still recovering from a serious back injury he suffered in December of 2011.

RB Rashard Mendenhall says he’ll play for Steelers in 2012.

The idea of a Plus-One playoff system may be back on the table in college football.

ESPN’s Bill Polian has picked the Bengals to win the AFC North.

RB Ray Rice remains unsigned and  wants “Adrian Peterson money,” and the Ravens remain unwilling to pay it.

DE Osi Umenyiora remains absent from Giants OTAs as he seeks either a new contract or a trade.
