The Reds won a shootout today with the Colorado Rockies, 7-5. Both teams combined to break the Great American Ballpark home-run record with 8 homers. Nursing a 7-5 lead with two men on and one out in the top of the 8th inning, Reds closer Aroldis Chapman came in to get the next 5 outs and seal the victory for the Reds, who completed a 6-1 home-stand and will finish the day with at least a 1.5 game lead in the NL Central.


Dario Franchitti is this year’s winner of the 96th annual Indianapolis 500.
