The Miami Heat came into the 2011 NBA season as one of the prohibitive favorites to win an NBA Championship, and last night they came one step closer to that goal, claiming a 93-79 victory over the Boston Celtics to take a 1-0 Eastern Conference Finals lead.

Patriots center Dan Koppen is totally recovered from his broken ankle.

Despite being a disappointing in his brief NFL career, the Chiefs will still be using WR/RB Dexter McCluster in multiple ways.

The debt ceiling for each NFL team has been increased from $150 million to $200 million.

RB Justin Forsett and WR Mike Sims-Walker will work out on Wednesday for the Houston Texans.

Ravens DT Terrence Cody’s weight is a constant concern, and now he reportedly had trimmed down to 335.

The Jaguars are working on resizing Everbank Field.

RB Shane Vereen has worked as the Patriots’ first-team tailback during OTA practices.

Good it be that the problem with the heat was that they had too much talent? Now that Bosch is on the bench it sees D Wade and James are firing on all cylinders. A harmonious twosome that is peaking at just the right moment while Boston, with little prep time was back on their heels? I know its two early to look past the conference finals but I am looking forward to a Heat Pacers final and I would love to see LeBron deliver on the unspoken promise of a title. I am not a huge association fan but this story has drama, excitement….its going to be a good June.

The shortened strike ridden NFL (pre) season turned out to a winner, so too does the shortened NBA season look to finish with a bang
