Evan Silva of Pro Football Talk broke down the best available free agents on the market as of now, and coming in at #1 was former Bengals RB Cedric Benson:

 1. Running back Cedric Benson — Even as the durable 29-year-old’s yards-per-carry average declines, Benson can be a workhorse back and get what’s blocked. He’s not going to help in the passing game, but would make sense as a No. 2 runner behind a starter who catches well and picks up the blitz. Benson needs to play in a power-running offense.

The Ravens were awarded OT Paul Madsen off waivers from the Bills

The Bengals drafted CB Korey Lindsey in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft. He was eventually cut and later Lindsey signed onto the Arizona Cardinals practice squad. After the Cardinal released him on Wednesday, the Bengals reportedly put in a waiver claim on him, but he was awarded to the Colts.

Ravens LB Michael McAdoo, one of the candidates to fill in for the injured Terrell Suggs this season, will likely miss the season himself after suffering a torn Achilles tendon during organized team activities.

Andrea Hangst believes Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are the most likely Bengals to take a step backward in 2012.
