Below are my top 10 fantasy football running backs for the 2012 season. I am basing all statistics on standard fantasy football scoring (1 point for 10 rushing yards, 6 points for a rushing TD, 1 point for 10 receiving yards, 6 points for a receiving TD). Each player will receive a rank, a brief explanation, and a 2012 scoring prediction.

10. Michael Turner,Atlanta Falcons
Turner has always been a big focal point of the Atlanta Falcons offensive scheme.Atlantaalways wants to get Turner going to bring in opposing defenses so they are able to air it out. They also turn to Turner late in games, as he is very good at wearing down defenses and killing clock. He is always someone you can count on to get a good number of touches each week.
2012 Projection: 1,241 rush yards, 10 rush TD’s, 104 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD – 200 points
9. Chris Johnson,Tennessee Titans
Johnson had a very down year last year, as he did not live up to his ‘CJ2k’ nickname – not even close. I believe that Johnson is ready to bounce back this season, as he will want to prove himself as one of the games elite yet again. Whether it’s Hasselbeck or Locker under center, look for Johnson to continue to carry the load for the Titans offense.
2012 Projection: 1,289 rush yards, 9 rush TD’s, 516 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD – 239 points

Sean O'Donnell, a long time Cincinnati Bengals fan from Bethlehem, PA since the age of 6. At that time an extraordinary elementary school outfit consisted of a Boomer Esiason jersey and a pair of Bengals Zubaz. Now, years later, the Zubaz are gone, but in place are objective articles about the franchise. Being very passionate about the NFL, Sean gives plenty of opinions about all aspects of the league. Being a 'self proclaimed' Fantasy Football Guru, having played for 8 years now, this writer will delve deep into the fantasy realm which has become it's own national past-time for football enthusiasts. Who Dey!
