8. DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys
Personally, I thought that Murray was one of the most impressive rookies last season. Now with that rookie year under his belt, and a full off-season to work with his teammates and coaches, he should be poised to be the feature back in Dallas. Murray’s explosiveness will provide a much-needed aspect to the Cowboys offense and I believe that this is the year he delivers.
2012 Projection: 1,332 rush yards, 10 rush TD’s, 432 receiving yards, 3 receiving TD’s – 254 points
7. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears
In Chicago, Forte has been the running back the Bears have been looking for in quite some time. He is certainly a dual threat and provides a nice security blanket for quarterback Jay Cutler. Bringing in Michael Bush from Oakland may cut into Fortes’ numbers a bit, but I doubt that knocks him out of my top 10.
2012 Projection: 1,262 rush yards, 8 rush TD’s, 622 receiving yards, 4 receiving TD’s – 260 points
