ESPN.com posted a new series on Monday titled the “Dream Team of Tomorrow”. The premise of this series is that ESPN wants you (the reader) to vote on who you think will be in the Pro Bowl in 2014 to 2016.

But, they don’t trust you completely. They don’t want people to vote on their current veteran favorites like Ray Lewis and Troy Polamalu and Peyton Manning. They exclude veterans and provide a select list at each position. A panel of ESPN.com NFL Editor Scott Symmes, ESPN.com senior writer John Clayton, NFC West blogger Mike Sando, AFC North blogger James Walker, AFC West blogger Bill Williamson and Scouts Inc.’s Matt Williamson compiled these short ballot lists. Also, they do include current college players such as Andrew Luck and Justin Blackmon in the fold. So, via the pure nature of such wild speculation and typical ballot-snubbing, these ballots are going to create a bit of controversy. It’s all in good fun though.

The Bengals have a decent number of players on the ballots, including 2 offensive players and 3 defensive:

  • TE Jermaine Gresham
  • WR AJ Green
  • CB Leon Hall
  • CB Jonathan Joesph [not under contract for 2011]
  • DE Carlos Dunlap

Pretty solid lineup. It’s no secret that the Bengals have a lot of young talent on the team, and this youth has many fans hopeful for 2011 and beyond.
