Last week, I ranked the top 12 quarterbacks for the fantasy football fans out there. Next on the agenda is running back. Running backs are usually the first guys taken since they touch the ball a lot and can score a lot of TDs. Once again, this will be different from my top 10 player ranking. Stick with me. You’ll go far.

1. Ray Rice- Rice has shown he is a fantasy player’s dream. Last season, he neared 1,400 yards and 12 TDs, but also had over 700 yards and 3 TDs receiving. Baltimore will rely heavily on him again, and with his ability to make guys miss, coupled with his versatility, he’s almost a lock to put up big numbers again, barring injury. He’s certainly worth the first overall pick.

2. LeSean McCoy- “Shady” was electrifying last season, and was a boon to guys who drafted him. He’ll certainly be a much higher pick in 2012 drafts. He’s fast, he’s shifty, and his stats were off the charts, leading the league with 17 rushing TDs, plus another 3 rushing. The Eagles will continue to use him creatively to get him into open space, where he flourishes. He’s a top two pick.
